Not directly Linux related, but may be of interest: RadioShack will be closing down several stores and filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. See the announcement here on Fox Business. This site lists the stores that are closing. Appears the store at the Valley View Mall is on that list.
Sad to see them go, but right now might be a good time to snatch up some good deals! Although, isn't that a bit like a vulture waiting for dinner to die? :-)

Just what is a Tahr anyway?
Just announced on the Linux Mint Blog: LM 17 Qiana with the K Desktop Environment (KDE) has been released. From the blog post: "Linux Mint 17 is a long term support release which will be supported until 2019. It comes with updated software and brings refinements and many new features to make your desktop even more comfortable to use."

Easy to use, Windows XP replacement for older PC hardware. Based on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with LInux Lite specific repository and software. They have an active user forum for tips and support. Looks like a very good candidate to try out!
